About the event

During this multimedia presentation, a locally produced video book trailer by Five Towns College puts the audience in a whaling mood as the talk reveals the real-life places, history, and stories, such as the “Legend of Old Tom,” that inspired The Whaler’s Daughter. The novel was nominated by the CBC for two 2022 Kids Book Choice Awards – Favorite Character Crush and Best Stellar Storyteller.
