POTATOHAMPTON
The second annual Potatohampton under the Bridgehampton Museum was a huge success! With over double the number of runners, we really felt the support of the community on Sunday, May 31st. We want to thank all of you who donated and ran with us along with our event sponsors: Hampton Coffee, Just Ice Tea and Douglas Elliman.
As soon as our 2027 race date is set we will update this page so you can join us next year!
2026 Winners!
Parker Boyle and Penelope Greene were the fastest male and female runners for 2026 with times of 16:38.20 and 16:51.61 respectively. Their names will be added, along with 2025's winners, to the newly created Coogan's Cup. Named after former Bridgehampton Museum board member and avid runner Peter Walsh's former Irish Pub, this is a great way to keep the memory of Peter alive as the one of the key individuals who pushed the museum to revive this annual event.
The trophy was crafted by a collaboration of two local artists. John Battle forged the potato and Nico Yektai the base. Two long time Bridgehampton residents and artists, who put their talents to work and helped create a beautiful new piece of Bridgehampton history.
